Morocco's taxis, explained
Two quick words you'll hear:
- Grand taxi — a shared, longer-distance taxi (an old Mercedes or a minivan) that runs fixed routes between towns and takes several passengers. You can book the whole car privately, or share it and split the fare. This is the one for airport runs and town-to-town trips.
- Petit taxi — the small metered cabs used only within a single city (like around Agadir). Not used for the intercity coast run.
